Additional COVID 19 vaccines

The Alamodome will make appointments available on a rolling basis for 9,000 vaccines starting today, January 15, 2021. Approximately 2000 appointments will be open each day. Residents calling today will have appointments on Monday; residents calling tomorrow will have appointments on Tuesday and so on. Appointments for the Alamodome can be made by visiting:

to book an appointment. A busy signal indicates that operators are taking other calls, and callers should try again. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Tomorrow, Saturday, January 16th, 2021, WellMed will begin scheduling appointments for 9,000 vaccines starting Saturday, January 16, 2021. WellMed operates the mass vaccination clinics at the Elvira Cisneros Senior Community Activity Center and Alicia Trevino Lopez Senior One Stop Center. The number to call is:


The hotline will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily until the 9,000 appointments are filled. Due to high volume of phone calls, callers who cannot get through to a WellMed customer service representative should keep calling back. To receive your Vaccine through WellMed, you MUST schedule an appointment over the phone. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

At this time only those currently eligible to receive the vaccine may make appointments. This include healthcare workers, residents of long-term care facilities, anyone over age 65, and anyone 18-years or older with a chronic medical condition. Chronic medical conditions include cancer, kidney disease, COPD, heart conditions, solid organ transplant recipients, obesity, pregnancy, sickle cell disease, and type two diabetes.
