COVID Vaccine Eligibility for Children

COVID Vaccine Eligibility for Children

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone 12 years of age or older receive the COVID 19 vaccination. Children between 12 and 17 years of age are able to get the Pfizer vaccine while anyone 18 years or older are able to get the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

Everyone 12 years and up can get vaccinated at the Alamodome drive-through clinic without an appointment, Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9am-6:30pm. Children under 18 years old will need to come with a parent or legal guardian. All individuals will need to bring identification such as a state ID card or driver’s license and children must bring proof of age such as a school ID or birth certificate.
