COVID-19 update from Metro Health



Bexar County area is now at a moderate risk level due to increasing COVID 19 cases and is seeing a significant increase in hospitalizations. City of San Antonio and Bexar County officials are urging everyone to get vaccinated immediately and to follow CDC guidance to wear masks while indoors. Based on the emerging evidence on the Delta variant’s increased risk of transmission, Metro Health recommends that both unvaccinated and fully vaccinated persons ages two and up wear masks in public indoor settings in accordance to CDC recent guidance.

Metro Health also advises all individuals ages 12 and older to get vaccinated as soon as possible to protect themselves and the community from the virus. To view a list of upcoming pop up clinics, visit https://covid19.sanantonio.gov/What-YOU-Can-Do/Vaccination or you can visit the Alamodome drive-thru clinic Wednesday, August 4 and Thursday, August 5 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Starting Friday, August 6 the Alamodome will operate a drive-thru clinic from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Wednesday through Friday.
