Bexar County Warming Centers January 24-26, 2026

Bexar County is opening five (5) warming centers to offer short-term emergency shelter starting Saturday, January 24 at 6 a.m. until Monday, January 26 at 12 p.m.

Individuals seeking shelter at these centers are encouraged to bring essential items such as medication, clothing, and personal supplies. Bottled water and snacks will be available. The centers are accessible. Service animals are welcome. Crates will be available for those bringing their pets along.

VIA will offer fare-free rides on buses to and from area warming centers. Notify the operator when boarding or inform the reservation agent when booking a VIAtrans trip.
